Our friendly team are able to offer remote video consultations and follow-up appointments for some non-urgent cases.

If you and your pet have an urgent issue, please visit our emergency page for guidance.

 

The following may be suitable for a remote appointment*

 

  • General advice.

  • Check-ups on stable animals on long term medication (excludes medicines listed in the RCVS “under care” regulations, such as antibiotics and controlled drugs).

  • Itching, without any visible skin changes.

  • Diarrhoea (<24 hours).

  • Routine post-operative wound checks.

  • Some dental issues.

  • Mild lameness.

  • Weight clinics.

 

*Please be aware that in some circumstances, your pet may be required to attend the practice for an examination, following a remote appointment. 

 

Some examples of conditions not suitable for a remote appointment:

 

  • Your pet is unable to pass urine or faeces.

  • Your pet has ingested a toxic substance (plants, food).

  • Your pet has swallowed something dangerous (clothes, a toy).

  • Your pet has collapsed.

  • Seizures or fitting.

  • Breathing difficulties or changes (e.g. faster breathing)

  • Vomiting or diarrhoea lasting more than 24 hours.

  • Loss of thirst or appetite.

  • Swollen abdomen.

  • Eye problems.

  • Your pet has been in an accident. 

  • Open wounds.
